What type of commissions do you offer?

I offer three types of commissions. Realism Oil paintings, Abstract Oil Paintings, and Grayscale Ink Drawings.

 

 

Realism Oil Paintings

Oil paintings are in color and take 3 to 4 months to complete. They come in a variety of sizes, from 11" x 14" to 18" x 24". I can paint any subject matter including human and pet portraiture, landscapes, and still life.

How do I commission a realism oil painting?

Send me an email or fill out the contact form below to start the commission process. We can talk there about your idea, what size you'd like to get, and the price.

 

I need at least 1 high-quality photo to work from to recreate your idea in oil paint.

After we agree on the best photo to use, I'll send you an invoice for 50% of the final price. This first payment is non-refundable and acts as a deposit. After your finished painting is complete, I will email you a photo of the artwork. Once you've seen it, I will send you an invoice for the second payment.

Next, I'll ask for your shipping address and send the artwork to you. I ship anywhere in the continental U.S. free of charge.

All commissioned paintings are unframed. I only use sizes that are easily framable which should make finding the perfect frame easy!

A realism oil painting will cost:

$400 for an 11" x 14"

$550 for a 16" x 20"

$750 for an 18" x 24"

$1400 for a 24" x $36

Abstract Oil Paintings

These are created with cold wax medium and oil paint. An abstract takes 2 to 3 months to complete. They come in many different sizes from as small as 9" x 12" to as large as 24" x 36". I can create abstracts in a variety of different color schemes.

 

How do I commission an abstract oil painting?

Send me an email or fill out the contact form below to start the commission process. We can talk there about your idea, what size you'd like to get, and the price. 

 

You can choose from previous abstract examples, describe the colors you'd wish to see, or send me a photo of the room where you plan on keeping the piece. I can then choose colors that will blend into your environment or boldly stand apart.

Because of the nature of abstract art, I like to spend a little more time coming together on an idea with you. I'll show the general colors I've picked out with a reference to a previous abstract I've created and ask you if this is what you're after.

$100 for 9" x 12"

$200 for an 11" x 14"

$300 for a 16" x 20"

$450 for an 18" x 24"

$700 for a 24" x 36"

Grayscale Ink Drawings

Grayscale ink drawings are monochrome and take 2 weeks to complete. They usually come in one size, 8.5" x 11".  I can create larger drawings but this is used for full-body or multiple-subject portraits. I can draw pet portraits only.

All commissioned drawings are unframed. The 8.5" x 11" is easily framable which should make finding the perfect frame easy!

A grayscale ink drawing will cost:

$150 for an 8.5" x 11"

What medium, size, and photo do you want to be painted?

What photo will make the best painting? For an abstract, what will be the best color scheme?

What's the final price?

• Pay 50% upfront to get the project started

• Pay the other 50% after you've seen your artwork

• I'll ask for your shipping address and get it packed up and sent to you

• Receive your original artwork! It will be unframed, but an easy size to frame. Custom framing or store-bought frames are both great options!

Notes:

Pricing is subject to change for multiple subjects, i.e. two human portraits on 1 painting surface. I give discounts on large orders. I can create artwork in custom sizes. I'm open to hearing ideas that are unconventional or a subject I don't usually paint. If you have any questions please get in touch! Coupons don't work with commissions. If I have a special discount for commissions, I will advertise it through email or social media. If it's going on and you don't know about it, the discount will be added to your final price anyway.
