Maybe the suns a little too bright and you've been walking for awhile. Schools not here yet and there won't be another big holiday until Halloween. The leaves are starting to get sick of the light and they begin to turn colors. It's not fall yet, that would mean cool breezes and long to do lists. It's August.
It's hot. It's the breath in before going through with the rest of the year. It's a been a good summer, as always it went too quick but there's a part of you that's ready to see it end.
It's a good day for a walk. It's a good day to notice the shadows from a telephone pole.
August Feelings
I think paintings in general give us a space to think. That's maybe their ultimate purpose. When I look at this painting I reach out for those feelings of acceptance and embracing the good aspects of daily life.
